Meet the Teens Behind Gen Z Junk Removal!
Started by a student, powered by local teens, and trusted by 1,000+ homeowners across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC.
How It Started
Gen Z Junk Removal started with a couch. Not kidding! Back in 2022, founder Andreas began to help local residents with small junk removal jobs across Northern Virginia. As part of that process, he refurbished the old furniture he picked up and gave them new life in the community (the first being a couch).
What started as a weekend side hustle quickly grew into a full-service junk removal and hauling company to help local residents keep their space and give a second life to items. In 2025, he made it official and launched Gen Z Junk Removal; a licensed and insured junk removal service built by local teens, for the community.
With that growth, Andreas added another piece to his mission: provide professional growth opportunities to local teens to build leadership and other soft skills.
Today, Gen Z Junk Removal runs a crew of six, and the first year, served over 400 customers across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC. This year, they're on track to double that.

We donate to Habitat for Humanity ReStore, recycle what we can, and landfill only what cannot be repurposed.

We had a great experience with Gen Z Haulers. Andreas was extremely responsive from the start and answered all my questions quickly. Max and Sai were the two that came and took the couch / coffee table and were very good. They didn’t rush to ensure nothing was damaged and very polite. We would absolutely use them again!

Nick and Ali were exactly what the website promised - "well mannered and respectful". I was impressed by how quickly they were able to move several very heavy items onto the truck. They were definitely hard workers. It was a very easy process and I would hire them again.

I used Gen Z Haulers to pick up two broken bookshelves. They were even able to come out the same day I called, as they were already in my area. The two young men were prompt, efficient, and friendly. The pricing was very reasonable and I will gladly use them again the next time. I love to see the entrepreneurial spirit in this next generation and urge you to give them a try!!
